Serving Farmington Hills, MI

If you have been waiting for the right time to upgrade to the Atlas crossover from Volkswagen, you may be wondering if you should wait a bit longer. The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas shows off lovely updates across the interior and exterior, but this midsize crossover will receive a few mid-year updates as well. After you learn about all that the 2021 and 2021.5 Volkswagen Atlas crossovers bring to the table, you will be in a position to make a well-informed decision.

Performance

For 2021 and 2021.5, the Volkswagen Atlas is a three-row crossover that is available with two powertrains. The 2021 model year marks the first time that the turbo four-cylinder engine is offered for the top trim levels. All-wheel drive is also offered with both trim powertrains for the first time. These powertrains are a V6, 3.6-liter, 376-horsepower engine and a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter, 235-horsepower engine.

Appearance

The interior and exterior of the Volkswagen Atlas have been restyled with enhancements displayed at the beginning of the 2021 model year. Because of this, there are no mid-year style updates. Specifically, both the front and rear exteriors have been invigorated with long, elegant lines that define the personality of the Atlas. These accents wrap around the sides, and they flare upward over the wheel fenders before joining in the center of the side panels. The interior of the Atlas also has new material options and a few modernized style elements.

Features

The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas is outfitted with V-Tex leatherette seats, folding rear rows, a tri-zone auto climate control system, a panoramic sunroof, and LED ambient lighting across many or all trim levels. Additional features include keyless access, wireless device charging, smart device integration, a navigation system, a digital cockpit, and others. If you hold out for the 2021.5 Volkswagen Atlas, your new crossover may come with Emergency Assist, Travel Assist, and the new MIB3 infotainment system in select trims.
