Performance

One of the many differences between 2022 ID.4 and the 2022 Tiguan is their behind-the-wheel capabilities. The ID.4 has two trim levels with two battery pack configurations. The single battery pack design is offered with rear-wheel drive, and it produces 201 horsepower. The double battery pack has an all-wheel drive design, and its output is 295 horsepower. The 2022 Tiguan is available with one engine. This 2.0-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine is associated with an eight-speed auto transmission. The system produces 184 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard on the lower trims, and all-wheel drive is optional. The all-wheel drive becomes standard for the SEL R-Line trim level.

Appearance

The 2022 Volkswagen ID.4 shows off its modern sleekness from bumper to bumper. This is defined by a short, cascading hood and smooth sides. The sides have an undulating pinstripe on the upper panels and thick, arched molding on the lower portion of the panels. LED-outlined headlamps, a molded nose with a crisp accent line, and a side air vent are added to its personality. The 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan stands more upright and has a linear theme from front to rear. The chrome-adorned grille has horizontal bars that trend into scalloped, LED headlights. Thin, pinstripe accents run across the upper and lower door panels. This model also has thin molding over the wheel wells, a small air vent on the sides, and a prominent front bumper with black accentuation.

Features

The Volkswagen ID.4 has premium features across both trim levels. Its many features include massaging and heated front seats, a hands-free power liftgate, simulated leather upholstery, gesture control for the 12-inch touch display screen, lane-keeping assistance, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, wireless smart device app connectivity, onboard wireless internet, a digital gauge cluster and more. The Tiguan has many of these same features across some or all of its four trim levels. It also has an available or included third row of seats. Its other features include USB ports, automated parking assistance, a premium sound system, a surround-view camera, driver’s memory settings, and a few other items.
