In 2021, the Golf GTI comes with a turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that generates 228 horsepower. In 2022, the powertrain has benefited from fine-tuning, and it now gives you 241 horsepower. Both engines are available with a dual-clutch seven-speed auto transmission or a manual transmission. Notably, the suspension system has been revised in the 2022 model year, and a limited-slip differential is added to the Golf GTI.

Appearance

The Golf GTI is easy on the eyes in 2021 with sleek styling and confident height. The hatchback retains these features in 2022, and it shows off new styling elements. The nose tapers down more dramatically into the thin, bar-style grille. This bar integrates with the LED-accented headlights. The lower front fascia has a five-bulb fog lamp design.
